We are searching for staff for weekend sleep over shifts and casual work to support a courageous young woman continue her studies at the University of Otago.
She has big goals for herself and needs your help to achieve them!
This role will be based around the University campus, supporting our client to build independence while completing her degree. Our client requires 24/7 cares which include hoisting, personal cares and sleepover shifts where you will have your own room to sleep in. Your role will also include facilitating her engagement in the community and encouraging her to undertake activities that interest her. This could include joining her on bus trips around the city, trying local food places with her or getting creative.
You will be part of a team of young girls who complete various shifts between them with the collective goal of enabling our client to achieve big.
Who might you be:
- You have a background in support work, either as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Community Facilitator; and/or
- You are studying a related course at University of Otago or Te Pukenga Dunedin Campus and looking to apply your learning practically and holistically (such as medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy etc) and/or
- Or someone who really wants to support the independence of a young woman but might just need some support to learn the practical skills of the role.
- Physically able to hoist
