We are looking for a caring, reliable, and hands-on Living My Life Support Worker to join our team, supporting clients on the North Shore and West Auckland to live independently, access their community, and take up new interests.

Shifts Available

  • Monday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Additional shifts may be available across other clients

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting daily living tasks such as meal preparation and household activities.
  • Providing hands-on support, including mobility assistance and support with toileting, as necessary.
  • Supporting community engagement and outings.
  • Assisting with behavioural support, working calmly and safely.
  • Supporting individuals back to work.
  • Supporting individuals to find suitable accommodation. 
  • Building strong connections, including supporting clients who may be non-verbal.
  • Creating a structured, positive, and respectful environment where clients can take the lead in achieving their personal goals. 

What We’re Looking For

  • A mature, reliable, and patient individual
  • Comfortable with hands-on support and practical care
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations
  • A compassionate, person-centred approach
  • Good communication and observation skills
  • Have an ability to support the client to take the lead on their programs.
  • Experience in support work, healthcare, or community services such as community mental health, disability supports is preferred.
  • Cultural awareness and respect for diversity, including Māori perspectives and tikanga Māori.
