We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and support for a 16-year-old female client who has autism, global developmental delay, and is non-verbal.

The ideal candidates will be experienced in the care of persons with Autism, be physically fit / strong, with a Pacifica or Māori cultural background. We are looking for individuals who can provide a safe, nurturing, and a culturally enriched environment. We will provide you with ongoing competency-based training and support.

Shifts: 12 hours: 7am – 7pm or 7pm – 7am.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care, exercise program and daily routines.
  • Engage the client in meaningful and stimulating activities.
  • Provide emotional support in a calm and patient centred manner.
  • Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider support team.

Key Requirements:

  • Pacifica or Māori cultural background.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferably Autism).
  • Physically fit and capable of supporting a strong person.
  • Compassionate, patient, and able to build a trusting relationship.
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to making a difference.
